Mainland UK ONLY (Except Scottish Highlands). A variety found in the North and also in Tuscany which is particularly suited to colder areas. Low productivity of extremely good quality figs which are purple/black in colour, mid to small and UK ONLY. A Northern Italian variety particularly suited to colder areas. Low productivity of extremely good quality figs which are purple/black in colour, mid to small and very aromatic and tasty. Will produce from about mid Sep until the first frosts generally. Especially good eaten with cheese and the traditional accompanyment to Prosciutto Crudo (Parma ham). From end Oct. |
