The peppercorns are the classic ingredient to make Steak in green peppercorn sauce, or dry them until they shrivel into black peppercorns for grinding. Sow all year and available from Feb. Perennial. Plant with intense green leaves which produce the fruits used for grinding. The berries are harvested before they reach full maturity and are dried in the sun, then threshed to extract the fruits. |
