They are sold by weight, but the minimum weight possible to order is from 30g and are subject We are very pleased to be able to offer you exclusivley for the first time, top grade, fresh 'Scorzone' truffles (Tuber Aestivum Vittad) from Spoleto in Umbria. They are sold by weight, but the minimum weight possible to order is from 30g and are subject to availability. Please note that the weight will be made up from either 1 or more truffles. In France these are called 'English truffles and they are excellent with potatoes, pasta and risotto, or as a romantic breakfast with eggs. The truffles are sent directly on 1 day each week and so the lead time is a variable 8 days. So depending on when you place your order and when the truffles come in, it could be sooner. Fresh truffles are not regular in supply, so first come, first served but we will try and supply everyone. Unlike the truffles found in jars which are steamed, these have a much better flavour. They should be brushed if they have some dirt on and then put in the fridge. They will keep for upto a week or so, but we recommend you use them within days of receipt. When they are sent out, they will go on a next day courier service, so PLEASE make sure there will be someone to sign for them. |
