Squash Tromba Of Albenga Summary

Squash Tromba Of Albenga

C28 - Long, curved fruits. This variety is from Liguria in the alpine North of Italy. The seeds are in the bulbous end, which means you get a neck of pure meaty flesh. This variety has boomed in popularity in the last few years because it is easy to go and delicious to boot. Also, it climbs so you can trail it up a fence and grow it upward rather than using up valuable ground space in the garden.

THE BEST
Harvest and cure . Store when Orange and it will last for 12months. Also if you cut a piece off to use, the rest will dry over and not go mouldy so you don't have to use the whole thing in one go. Enjoy

Trombarcini
Have grown these for the last four years and they are great. Have had them grow to over a foot long in a curvy way. I now grow them up a plastic netting frame from two plants in a long planter. Cannot manage to keep them long enough to dry off as I use them in my Branston type pickle. Well worth a try.
